I have also been more generous with tipping. It's hard to find staff now and appreciate them and really appreciated the service staff dealing with the public during the pandemic putting their lives in danger when they could've been making more on unemployment.

With the complaints on tipping the barista's, unless it's just a cup of regular coffee they are doing as much or more work than a bartender is if they are making a cappacino or doing a pour over. People will tip their bartender for popping a top off a beer bottle but then complain about tipping a barista $1 for doing a pour over. And in airport lounges and am ex lounges the drinks are free anyway.
I was not referring to caddies (who are often independent contractors), but to the club employees who take one’s bag from the trunk and place it on a cart, and repeat at the end of the round. I just wish clubs had no tipping policies for these kinds of employees. I hate the “greased hands” phenomena.
