I have Hilton diamond (meh), Mariotte Titanium (largely good, but a lot of inconsistency on benefits delivery), and IHG spire Inner Circle. Sadly I didn't jump on any of the Hyatt promos last year- I was really focusing on Kimptons, because I love(d) them.

I got sick of IHGs abusive scheme for their invitation only statuses (which are the only ones that offer any real benefits)... Plus had enough poor Kimpton experiences that I lost my adoration for the brand. Likewise, I felt my benefits were not honored with enough consistency at Mariottes.

So I've been taking Hyatt for a spin this year.
While I'm incredibly frustrated that Hyatt doesn't often offer status chalanges (evey other major brand does), I've been very happy with my stays thus far. And for a few of my longer stays, I've gotton individual managers to give me free breakfast and sometimes even proper upgrades.

Hyatt's foot print may be smaller than the others.
But frankly I think their hotels are better and their product far more consistent. And their free breakfast benefit for globalists far exceeds Mariotte (and obviously Hilton).
Plus globalists don't ever pay ammenity fees (no one else does that, except IHGs brand specific invite only tiers), get free parking on award stays, and can extend their elite benefits to others on award stays (a very niche benefit.... But one I'll totaly be using to treat some folks I know to a well deserved get away).

Then there's milestone awards. You don't even have to hit Globalist to get 4 lounge passes, 2 suite upgrade certificates (each which are good for a stay if you to 7 nights), and a free category 1-4 night.

I Wish I had switched last year when, at one point, globalist could have been obtained in less than 30 nights. 😭

But I really am sold so far.
