So far, as a gold member matched from Hyatt, the resort fee is still showing in the folio in the mobile app and we haven't checked out. I'm curious if it'll get dropped on the day of checkout or if I have to go bother the front desk one more time. It seems like the MGM system is automatically attaching the Hyatt number when I'm booking directly on mgmresorts.com which is great.
Two Questions -
1) Did the amount charged at check in also add in the resort fee? Meaning if your room was $50 per night with a $45 resort fee and a $100 deposit per night (all properties except Excalibur and Luxor IIRC) it would be $195 per night charged.
Or what was charged at check in? (Even if it’s just a temporary hold and the resort fees are ultimately waived wondering if they’re still initially charged or held at all) Just wondering.
2) You mentioned that the MGM system is automatically adding your World of Hyatt number is this solely because of a status match, have you had it added in by the front desk before and how do you know it’s been added? (Did Front Desk mention it at check in or some other way)
