I panicked! The card I had on file was not the card I expected to be on the rental. So I hastily went to the rental location and get the card changed. Turns out later that the original card I had on file also provided CDW coverage. Avis mentioned they only ever have a single copy of the rental agreement and if it ever changes, they're unable to pull the previous one.
I know I'm a dumb-... and this may very well prove to be the costliest mistake of my life. Really hoping it doesn't. AutoSlash's comment about claims being honored does give me some hope. We'll see. :fingers_crossed:
