I know they don't normally check guest credentials but I wouldn't be surprised if they included some sort of notes/description when checking you in to the effect of "Member entered with one guest. Male, white tshirt, brown hair"... that much is absolute speculation on my part but the written policy prohibits you from entering with two guests, leaving, and coming back in with two more guests. That would be a very obvious way to game the complimentary guest limit.
