There is a very lousy PP lounge at Terminal B outside of the security. I went there once. You may think of going somewhere in Newark to kill the time before TP check-in desk is open.
At LIS, there is a premium lounge operated by TP. It is reasonably good. The immigration was very slow when I arrived there in the afternoon (UA EWR-LIS was delayed by five hours). CDC card and COVID test resut will be checked before you arrive at immigration.
Good luck.
Thank you - that is super helpful! We are currently weighing our options for the time spent at EWR. I didn't know about the lousy landside lounge and that might even be ok. I know that I need to exit security once we arrive at B but I assumed we could use the shuttle to get there. If not, I'll have to figure out how else to get to B.
We are arriving in LIS super early morning if all goes well (5:30 am) and have a 5 hour layover which is perfectly fine with us since I think we'll need a great deal of that time just to get through everything. If we have any time left over, we were planning on the TP business lounge.
I just cannot find a good airport map app. iFly Pro seems to have disappeared.
