Well, I'm reassured,
AJLondon.
However, whenever I've been in Y (fortunately a distant memory!), I've stayed in my own cabin. I just don't think it's right to invade the space and facilities others have paid for.
Caveat: All the above answers of mine apply when I am travelling in C. When in Y, please reverse all answers
Yesterday, I asked the FSM about this issue when she next came over to me, "so you don't stop them any more", and she replied rather condescendingly, "we never did and when there are 100 in the back and four of you here, there has to be some reality in the situation". It annoyed me, but I didn't pursue it. I think she'd had a hard time with the changeover in NAP.
However, my "reality in the situation" is that, if C now buys no more than the naff benny box and effectively not even a separate cabin, I'll fly with a different airline in C and just use BD for bargain basement Y leisure travel. Maybe they are planning for the removal of the C cabin altogether by eroding its value and later justifying it with "falling customer demand".
