Thanks for the welcome, LondonElite (edited)

To be "fair" it seems like the basis of my original post is a rare experience. None of the other agents I spoke to gave me any issues when booking the award for my child. But it really was shocking to be told what I was told. Although it would have been just as frustrating to be told that my account was frozen due to suspicion of "miles laundering" at least that would have made a little more sense. I would say to scubadu that you don't have much to worry about and should use Turkish Airlines, but just know you might spend a couple of hours on the phone spelling out the names of your passengers like it's 1989. To avoid the issue that LondonElite raises, maybe you should go ahead an open a Turkish Miles and Smiles account and transfer 1k miles over just to have some longevity in the account. But that wasn't my problem, obviously.

I did ask "Naman" where the policy is written and she just told me that she was telling me what she was told to do. She couldn't tell me where the policy was written. When I asked if I could speak with a manager, she told me that they were a call center and there were no managers. Right.

What is weird is that the booking tool literally does not even let you choose to book for a toddler in addition to an adult. It just won't let you move forward. Period. I will post a couple of screen shots, but anyone with an account can probably see what I share.
