As to getting into the CX lounges, present your boarding pass. If you don't have OW status, I think they can refuse you entry. However, people here have reported that they often let people flying other OW airlines in premium classes in. Try your luck.

There're 2 separate CX lounges - the Wing and the Pier. They're quite far apart. If one doesn't let you in, try the other. Even if one lets you in, try the other anyway. If you don't have any luck, there's always the QF/BA lounge for you.

The CX lounges are in a league of their own, but the QF/BA lounge is plenty sufficient.
