I’m not trying to be snarky, I am just trying to understand what the behind-the-scenes conversation would sound like, to justify holding a seat on 2 flights for the same passenger, in order to allow them to pick the one they *really* Want, but when it’s too late for Delta to be likely to sell it.
Well, there is that whole same day change perk + the schedule change allows for them to rebook it on a different route. I'm not saying it's an intentional option they offer, but I think there's a way to make this work I'm missing using standby and same day change and the schedule change that occurred.
