The whole domestic into the wrong type of gate thing was a right pain all through last year, despite so few flights being in the air. I guess I did 20 sectors into LHR and only 4 actually disembarked via a jetbridge into a domestic gate. The rest were buses.

Of those, 3 were rear door only. One was so shambolically slow (so few buses) that pax in Club were missing connections while waiting on the tarmac - one could actually see their next flight through the window waiting at its gate - but still the crew didn't prioritise them to disembark on an earlier bus.

However, for most of our bus transfers we were fully on remote gates out by T5C somewhere. As mentioned above, if you end up at an international gate with jetbridge, there isn't enough space to put steps to the front doors.
