This will give me a refund by means of a FTV and the 241 will be reinstated for a period of 12 months from the date of the cancelled booking. Is this correct?
If that is the case, can you further advise me on the following? Last month I booked a long haul flight for March 2022 using another 241 voucher (I was unaware of the cancellation trick until today … doah!) If I am fortunate enough to get the Feb 2022 voucher extended, do you think it would be possible to amend my March booking using the Feb voucher, as the one that I used has an expiry in 2023?
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Welcome to the forum.
Currently if you get an FTV, the trip has to be completed by September 2023. So the validity of your soon to expire voucher will be extending to that date using the current method of booking a cheap domestic flight, wait 24 hours, get FTV.
In relation to your second question, some people have reported here that they have successfully swapped vouchers. You do have to ring BA and need a sympathetic agent since they are not obliged to do this for you.
