Thanks for the info. I'm flying into Milan, departing from Venice. I'd rather sit in the center row by myself if there's no view on departure but I'm willing to put up with a row mate if I can get some decent pictures on departure. I took the train the only other time I visited Venice and that was 30 years ago.
What about flying into Milan? Is there any point to trying to get a window seat?
As always... it depends on where you're flying from. En route you might be treated to some nice views of the Alps, but for actual views of the city the airport to land into is LIN. Stay on the left-hand side for landing.
