It is a fully school endorsed event and was approved by the school board (mainly consisting of lawyers), but it would seem that no one actually read the contract. The teacher appeared to be unaware that there was language in the contract that could allow them to change the dates/modes of transport until after the changes were made and she went back to read them. I also should have read the contract when I paid the deposit for the trip back in January 2020, but alas did not and by the time I paid the full amount a few months back didn't even think to reread it (they have you pay a set deposit initially and then the majority ~100 days prior). Interestingly the company went through bankruptcy in Summer 2020 and did not notify me as a creditor so maybe that is a way forward?
