My mum and sister put it in a glass and drink it. Totally works! I tested it several times and it totally works. Doesn't need to be refrigerated. I tried ice and it isn't needed. Room temp is best so far.
I've tried it straight up, it's fine. But I find cocktails often are more interesting.
The ice cream, though, was freakin' delicious!!! Just a standard vanilla ice cream recipe (5 egg yolks, 2.5 cups double cream, <0.5 cups sugar (oddly without the vanilla this time, touch of salt) with 3 oz of Cabot Trail worked great. Much more alcohol than I've used for egg nog ice cream in the past but the balance worked out just right. Much smoother than I make at home, but a different machine and different cream.
Sounds good! Although I've never made ice cream.
