Thanks for the reply, Pelikan! That explains it - the ticket was bought through a travel agency and paid by invoice, not CC, hence no CC on file. Still, it's a shame that the OS & LH kiosks need a CC on file and can't do the same trick as the LX ones or those of US airlines.

Oliver, that's not true IME - I use the OS/LH kiosks frequently with e-tix. I just insert my M/M card and out comes the boarding pass, no checking of picture ID at that point.
