"Has anyone ever been to the Gay Ski Weeks at either Aspen or Whistler?

Is anyone planning on going to this years events?

Friends and I are looking into making plans for one or the other and are trying to decide and figure out lodging and transport (EGE? DEN?)"

We go to Aspen every year. Whistler is fine if you like LA North, which is not a problem, just be prepared. The town of Whistler is charming albeit new and lacking character. Aspen is expensive so don't think otherwise however the expense is not necessarily only the lodging which can be reasonable with friends sharing a condo. All in all, Aspen is an experience and attracts a national crowd whereas Whistler is more West Coast. Fly
into Aspen as the schlep via a car or bus is a drag, plus its fun to get into
town just in time to sample the Truffle Fries at Ajax Tavern.
