I've stayed at the Sheraton Maui several times over the past years. I've always enjoyed my stays. I've always requested to be put in the rooms which are way out on the far North Side of the complex. While it is quite a hike back to the pool/beach, the rooms out in the far wing give you unobstructed views of Molokai'i and Lanai'i. The rooms out there are quiet and recently renovated.

Another option would be to stay at the Westin down the street. While the beach is not nearly as nice as the Sheraton, you have full access to all the Sheraton's amenities with the wristbands that you get at the Westin.
