Just because you can't see seats in the seat map doesn't mean that there aren't seats. They'll assign you a seat when you check in.

If you want status using OPM (a noble goal) see if you can expense buying some bonsai trees for the office. Getting status by flying is going to take you forever, especially if you are shy about a $300 price difference vs a ULCC.
