I would thoroughly recommend the Camino de Santiago. It's a beautiful walk. Don't bring too heavy a boot - Salomon Trail Sneakers would be better , along with really good socks and lots of blister pads. A tip, if I may, is to plan to get into Santiago De Compostela around Holy Week. You can witness the quite sombre but none the less fascinating event of Semana Santa. You can witness people in the hooded cloaks walk through the city carrying Jesus. It really is quite a sight. These are the dates for the next few years:
