I've read reports in the past of United using your application date, rather than your requested start date, as the effective date for the status challenge. I want to apply for it tomorrow - effective March 15 to maximize the 120 days and give some leeway to complete the challenge after July 1st - but am worried about United getting the start date wrong... that would force me to complete the challenge before July 1st.
Does anyone have experience with United getting the date wrong and subsequently fixing it? What's the process for handling that? Thanks!
