That's interesting. When I don't get the concierge level, my one card is usually "keyed" so it will get me in. On the few occasions when it didn't, I went back down to the front desk and they "re-keyed" it so it would. I am only speaking of domestic USA Marriotts, overseas they may do it the way pinniped described as a matter of course.

Either way is fine, of course. Just so you get the lounge access!
