It is listed as severe weather. You can find the information on the flight status on the United.com website or on the United App.

When severe weather is forecast, or occuring, the schedule will be trimmed to relieve congestion and allow the remaining flights to operate instead of created massive gridlock. It allows for a more rational, organized reduction in flights due to the weather.
