I am considering a stay in Malta soon and am debating between Westin Dragonara and Hyatt Regency.
Just have a look at the last page. There are some fairly thorough reviews of the Hyatt's shortcomings (including mine, which also contains a comparison to the Westin, a far superior option assuming you have Marriott status).

IME, most HRs outside the US have a lounge or lounge replacement benefit. (This place doesn't even have a space for a lounge, so it's not a matter of it being temporarily closed). And resort fees aren't aren't a thing outside the US.

To be fair, although there are far better options, it's worth mentioning that the Hyatt can be decent value on points. Much of May/Sept/Oct 2022, arguably the ideal time to visit if you're after "culture" rather than "beach" is classified as "low season," and at 6500 points the hotel is quite reasonable despite its shortcomings, provided you use it as a base for exploring the island and don't spend much time onsite.
