I am beginning to strategize trip to Italy in June 2023, 2 people. I would like to fly business over and econ back is fine. I am a little/not a lot flexible with cities and dates. IND/CVG/SDF to FCO/NAP. I understand I code is a longshot. I have plenty of UR and ~150k cap one miles. It looks like UA has best flights time wise/duration of travel/# of stops. So a couple questions regarding strategizing this as i prepare to look 11 months out.
- Will booking through UA likely be best option or through a partner?
- Would there be any benefit (besides the SUB) to getting a personal or business cc to open up more avail? I don't fly UA much
- Is it still possible to do Plan B waitlist trick for Biz if I can book an X fare?
