Purty interesting that on the eve of GUC "New World Order", there is zero inventory of available flights to utilize GUCs. I'm not referring to the recent absence of upgrade status on website but via phone, agents have not been able to find any confirmed upgrades to multiple cities over different dates. All of the sudden they have vaporized at a time when i'm sure more than a few customers with GUCs in hand are wishing to use them? Anyone getting lucky?
I got lucky last week for CDG-JFK-CDG. I had a FANTASTIC agent that found the upgrades on flights that also had the fare that I needed. I had to take a flight a couple of hours earlier than I wanted, but that was a small compromise. The point is that she knew how to accomplish the task. Which reinforces our belief that agent experience/training is everything. (And yes, I gave her a "5" on the survey)
