The other question is how old the children are, and whether you intend all to fly together in economy. If your intention was that the children fly in economy while you fly in a higher cabin, but doing this by booking one adult and one child on each voucher and swapping seats on board, I wonder whether cabin crew would allow the swap if it basically leaves two UMs in the economy cabin who would not be accepted for travel if booked like that.
Many thanks for your reply. I've cancelled the FTV as suggested as voucher had October 22 expiry so will be ok for the summer (had to pay the £70 change fee for the cancellation). The adviser on the BA Exec Club line said there shouldn't be a problem swapping the boarding passes as BA allow children over 5 to be booked in a separate cabin to parents (ours are actually classified young adults). Thanks for the help.
