Purty interesting that on the eve of GUC "New World Order", there is zero inventory of available flights to utilize GUCs. I'm not referring to the recent absence of upgrade status on website but via phone, agents have not been able to find any confirmed upgrades to multiple cities over different dates. All of the sudden they have vaporized at a time when i'm sure more than a few customers with GUCs in hand are wishing to use them? Anyone getting lucky?
After reaching a supervisor, he reached out and really went the extra effort to find out what is going on. He noted he had had several similar complaints today and offered to do the following. He believed that if the purchased ticket had a time stamp of "today" with GUCs applied as waitlist status, they should clear immediately tomorrow if seats are showing as available. He took the time to reach out to his Bosses but sadly replied that the Delta Marketing department is drawing a line in the sand and that option would not be available and that if i purchased the ticket today with GUCs attached, i would receive an upgrade to PS tomorrow and not D1. just sharing.
