I got off the boat and booked JAL BKK-JFK via Tokyo (I had to drag my golf bag and suitcase across the city on the train between the two main airports). I would up with Covid.

But... it was fairly easy to get an F reservation a few days out. Today, I looked for about an hour and could not fine any F to Europe or Asia between now and mid-Feb out of NYC. I have not followed the trends, but it is a bit shocking as I too have a lot of AS miles 'banked', but Covid has really thrown a loop at things! Super bummed.
JL pulled all F inventory for North American routes in the last day or so for Feb, and CX pulled all of theirs late last year for most of 2022, so you likely won’t have any luck with Asia at least if you’re limited to Feb.

The JL pull is extremely fresh and their call centre staff has apparently not yet been updated on it, so no real idea as to what’s going on there.
