Actually, not only does the LAX Hilton have car rentals, it also offers airport parking. And in using their airport parking, I've found the shuttles to be quite frequent. So perhaps because the same shuttles are used by hotel guests and for car rentals and for airport parking, they run them more frequently than if they weren't used for all of that?
