In view of the double tier points promotion, I was thinking to use BA holiday to book next Summer trip to DAR, with the consideration that the hotel or car needs to be booked for the duration of the stay.

The plan is (we do this every other year as I have some family there, but usually self book and fly Emirates), to have a three weeks trip, with the middle week spent in Zanzibar and the other two in DAR.

Now the issue is that BA holidays does not have any hotel options in DAR and in ZNZ only list two options, the Park Hyatt in historic Stone Town (great hotel, already experienced, but not beach resort), and the Double Tree by Hilton in Nungwi (beach resort, nice but not exceptional as the beach suffer from tides and algae build up, and already been there twice).

So my question is, would it be possible to call BA holidays and ask them to book for you hotels in DAR (where they have none listed on the website) and a different one in ZNZ (was thinking Zuri in Kendwa, IMHO one of the very best beaches on the island)? Can anyone share some positive outcome/ experience with this?

BA does not fly directly there anymore (did that many years ago), and there are several options with partners airlines. I have identified flights that will be fully operated by Qatar on all 4 segments, which should be good.
