No it is just that “as platinum member”, if you also pay 225$ (which is about the price of 2 nights) and get Accor plus membership, you will get a 20 status-night bonus.
So:
- if you plan to make 40-58 nights this year, it will help you to retain your plat status for next year.
- if you plan to get 14000pts anyway or make 60+ nights, then it is of no use.
- if you aim to diamond, it is of no use
Last year I made 100 nights/22100 status points so I qualified for plat…but if doing the same this year, i will be 50 nights only and 11000. Getting the bonus might be useful…
