So I was trying to use a GUC on 9/4 on any flight between JFK/BOS/MIA/ATL to CDG, all the planes appear to be wide open based on seat maps…. Seat maps mean nothing. You need Z inventory on the AF flight number. Use EF or if you don't want to pay, use ITA Matrix and use the advanced controls and force the booking code to Z by using this format: F BC=Z.
I checked in EF for you on Sept 4. JFK DTW MSP BOS ATL all show 0 in Z. But MIA shows Z9 on both flights. If they couldn't book the MIA flight, then they didn't know what they were doing. Always ask to be transferred to the AF/KL Joint Venture Support desk. If you can get there or if the agent will call them on the other line you will always get it done.
