Mixed Aeroplan / Cash booking
Hi Everyone!

happy new year

I am flying YEG-LAX in September with my Son and Dad for a concert. I want to book my dad and son Aeroplan tickets and pay cash for mine for the status miles. I am E50K currently.

I want everyone on the same PNR so I can get us all preferred seats.

I don’t think it’s possible to book a mixed PNR, but can I book all three of us Aeroplan, reserve seats then cancel my Aeroplan ticket (within 24) then rebook a cash ticket?

will that work or am I playing with fire?
