During my return flight FRA-EWR earlier this week I hit UA’s “WI-FI and Entertainment” button on my app and saw to my surprise that the page now shows a third option in addition to Wi-Fi and Entertainment: “Messaging.” I pressed on it and saw that messaging was offered as a free service. I activated and was able to send/receive txts via WhatsApp as well as regular text messages (other texting apps are also supported-see list in one of the photos). Not sure if this is merely a test run or an offer only for Polaris customers, but I loved the free feature and thought I’d pass it along!
