We're a couple. Just have a huge breakfast (assuming you have status). Strategic room service will cover another meal or two for the day, in the heat that should be plenty.
E.g. At St Regis we had a gluten free pizza to share for lunch most days and a shared fish curry in the the evening. We didn't come to the Maldives for the restaurants. We were happy to chill in our villa. It's not cheap but keeps costs reasonable, esp. since I saw no value to eating at the restaurants. I could do that anywhere.
