Had seen in the Sheraton vs. Westin thread that the Sheraton at one point offered free airport transfers for Plats. The e-mail address on the property's "Contact Us" web page bounced back, but Platinum Liaison put me touch with them and I was able to arrange this. This turned out to be a driver and a town car on arrival and some SUV on departure.

Asked about an upgrade at check-in. The FDC checked with another employee and then said they could put me in a Laguna Suite. This seemed nicely appointed; my main complaint would be how dark it was (had to turn on all the lights if I really wanted to be able to see anything in either room) and a paucity of electrical outlets (one free plug in each of the sitting room and the bedroom).

There were drops of water on the back of the toilet seat, which were somewhat off-putting until I was actually using the commode and got dripped on -- there's a grille directly overhead -- so I will choose to think/hope it was condensation from A/C :-/ Also a small puddle of water by the shower door when I arrived.

The club lounge had a food spread but by the time I got there it had been almost completely ravaged by the crowd and what was left didn't look too enticing so I just left.

Decided to enjoy the sunset and have a drink and a quick meal in "The Point" lounge off the lobby. Pina colada was served with an orange slice garnish instead of pineapple they had warned me that the food would take 20-30 minutes, but after 45-50 minutes having literally not seen anyone since (not even to ask if I wanted another drink) I went up to the bar and asked and was told apologetically that it would be just another short while. I went out to use the restroom (guess they trusted me) and when I returned the food indeed showed up 5-10 minutes later.

Without my saying anything the manager comped my drink, which was a nice gesture.

I wanted to be fully rested for the long travel day the next day, so didn't really explore much else (not much to see directly around the property although there's apparently a free shuttle to a shopping area), but it seemed like a decent property overall, other than a few minor gaffes in execution.
Nice post.

It seems that both Sheraton and Westin offer airport transportation. Not sure if it's complimentary.

I am wondering if anyone has stayed there recently and could offer some comments.
