Weirdest Delta flight ever for me- MX delay followed by slow airspeed
ATL-LAS DL714 this afternoon . 739. 1.5 hour delay for thrust reverser problem that was fixed after return to gate. Flight then flew 5 hours to LAS at -360 mph. Any 739 experts know of a thrust reverser fault on MEL that requires slower airspeed? Other 739s on same route are making over 400mph on FlightAware. Truly a miserable flight with over 7 hrs in the back of 739. Any reason to not just get a new aircraft in ATL? Maybe pilot did not want further ground delay approaching 3 he limit?
