Most certainly, yes. It made it easier for people of all status levels in 2021. This year, however, they offer nothing to assist with Diamond, but still make it easier to hit the other levels. Top tier status is already pretty easy to achieve in ALL, so perhaps Accor realized that they ended up with too many Diamond members by giving double status points last year.

I ended up crediting stays to my wife's account last year, so we could both qualify and earn some SNUs, because there's no advantage to earning any points at all past 54,000, since SNUs max out at 12. In my case, I would have earned Diamond status and max SNUs with our without the double points offer, so while a nice gesture, it didn't really help the high spenders.
