Wondering how much of a hassle it's likely to be if our CPT -> MQP flight is canceled, and we need to re-route CPT -> JNB -> MQP.

Our flight's scheduled on a Thursday, and it looks like those have been frequently one of the days canceled over the past few weeks.
In my situation, I booked our flights in the middle of September 2020 for flights in the second week of June 2021. We were notified of the first schedule change mid February 2021. There were 2 other schedule changes in the next 2 -3 weeks. It became obvious to me that Airlink was not going to be able to handle our travel requirements, so I booked the FedAir lodge shuttle in the first week of March 2021 and proceeded with the refund from Airlink.

I used my Google Voice account to call Airlink's main reservation center in Johannesburg. I had no issues with their agents whatsoever. Everyone I talked to was helpful, polite and professional.
