Yes they can charge extra for using credit card. Easyjet already does it and just adds the disclaimer that there is a charge:
A credit card charge applies when you pay by Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club or American Express. No charge is payable when you use a Switch or Visa Debit card.
The total amount that will be charged to your card is:
Paying by credit card
£66.99
Paying by debit card
£62.99
