75 night cert given - and then taken back in the middle of the night
Marriott. Is. The. Absolute. Worst.
I got an email yesterday, "An Automatic Selection Has Been Made" telling me that I got 10 suite nights for the 50 and 75 night annual benefit, which is definitely not what I wanted, and I could have sworn I went onto the site in December to choose the Free Night cert instead. It's very possible in my ADHD stupidity that I logged on but didn't click the final button or something, which unfortunately is just a thing that often happens in my life.
Well so I called distraught and someone was kind enough to issue a 75 Night free cert to my account to fix it, and I was elated. So happy, what a relief. The SNAs are completely worthless, I've never once been able to use one, there are 20 of them just sitting in my account unused, they will never be used.
But then - get this - around 2am while I was sleeping, someone emails me from Marriott and some guy there had DELETED the Cert and sent me another email "All Annual Choice Benefit selections are final and cannot be changed after the selection is made." He didn't actually explain that he had deleted it but I logged on and he did.
I am so enraged. So of course I call back again at 430am when I see this email and someone working the graveyard shift tells me she is the Manager on duty and she can't do anything and I should wait "3-5 days" for something to happen which I'm sure is nothing. So completely livid. It's as if Marriott actively wants me to never stay there again.
