OneWorld Emerald - Seat Selection on Paid Economy ticket
Looks like Qatar is asking money to select seats on its website during booking, despite inputing a OneWorld Emerald frequent flyer number (AS).

Any way around that or do we really have to pony up to avoid a middle seat on a 15hr flight?

A lot of previous discussions deal with seat selection in business for the QSuites but not much about economy seats.
