Booked for CPT -> MQP in mid-June. Airlink is the only provider selling tickets for that route (even with connections) in June.

Right now it looks like they're still running that route, but 3x a week instead of daily. My hope is that by June demand will increase both because of seasonality, and reduced COVID-fears.

Since we're already booked, my plan, in order, is:

• Monitor flights in the weeks leading up to our trip.
• Hope our flight goes.
• If not, try and get Airlink to move us to a connecting flight (CPT -> JNB -> MQP) on our preferred dates. These seem to be going 1x - 2x daily even right now on those routes.
• If that doesn't work, try and get from CPT -> JNB, on Airlink or another airline, and drive from Johannesburg to Kruger.

Hopefully, there's nothing to worry about, but I may make a provisional, fully-cancellable booking on another airline from CPT to JNB and a cancellable rental car, just to be on the safe side. Especially if it looks like cancellations are ongoing in early June before our trip.

EDIT: Did a little research. If I want a backup, the only airline scheduled to fly CPT -> JNB on our dates offering a fully cancellable fare is BA - which is about $270 in Business, with free cancellation. Everyone else flying the route only offers cancellation to wallet funds, that have to be used in a year.
