Revisiting this thread 5 years later. Reflecting on my St Regis stays, it becomes apparent why I don't stay at the brand very often (aside from me avoiding Marriott chain hotels because of the issues with Bonvoy). A version of this of my Luxury Collection hotel visits would be significantly more positive:
