Call me old fashioned, but I love walking up to an aircraft… the bigger the better. Gives a sense of the golden age of glamorous air travel and makes me smile far more than any jetbridge ever will, particularly the extra wide staircases BA seems to use.
I agree in somewhere like Jersey where you can just walk but the bus experience is a lil tedious. Then again I quite like looking at all the planes but for anyone not completely mobile, people with kids, people with other mobility issues etc it is added stress to the overall process.
