well flying from Berlin to Medellin Colombia, via Madrid. Not going to bother with checked luggage this time, just hand luggage which is why I asked the question ...and they not really scissors, like I said more like small pliers with a fairly small cutting blade . And yeah it would be ideal to buy them at my destination as you said, but that's what the trouble was last time. I couldn't get a decent pair of nail pliers anywhere in Medellin and they are really needed for things like toenails. Normal nail scissors just won't cut it. So guess I'll just have to hope they won't grab them.
