Yes, I’ve successfully changed the statement closing date for 80% of the ~ 170 credit card accounts I’ve opened during the past 20 years. Occasionally takes more than one call, sometimes takes more than one billing cycle. Usually change to the 2nd or 3rd of the month, prefer statements to indicate calendar month activity. Fortunately my preferred statement closing date is rarely a black-out date. For some sock drawer cards I prefer to not spend the time and energy to change the date.
