I'm flying to ZNZ (QR operated but on AY code, AY Economy Flex was cheaper than a QR ticket which would have given 25% earnings!) and they officially require a QR code on the PCR test certificate (and I don't want to take my chances that the check-in agent refuses a certificate without one, even though reports from the immigration in ZNZ tell that the QR code is not actually checked). At least Medipulssi has a QR code on their certificates, so I'll just go there if the Finnair tests don't have a QR code.

I have the same dilemma. Flying TK to ZNZ in a few weeks. I was thinking of printing out both the HUS certificate without a QR codes as well as the EU covid pass, which shows the test result and a QR code. I hope that's enough.
All testers that upload test result to Kanta will have an EU test certificate including QR code. Of course, if you need a passport number on the certificate, that won’t help.
Finnair HOTT antigen test did not have a QR code in November.
