There does seem to be an issue with these ecredits. I voluntarily canceled flights that had been booked with ecredits, and one ecredit that should have residual value says it's "closed", and two others are listed as open but say the value can't be determined online.
Unless the new ticket was refundable, when canceled your unused eticket becomes your "ecredit." Only if the eticket was refunded would the old "ecredit" appear again.
Ecredits aren't a thing in their own right. They're simply an overall heading for unused etickets and DL CS vouchers.
